Tommy McDonald

Tommy McDonald is a registered forester in Georgia and Alabama with 37 years experience in forest management and the forest industry.  For 18 years Tommy worked for Georgia-Pacific, a major forest products company, first as a procurement forester buying standing timber and supervising harvesting operations.   Next he was promoted to a managerial position overseeing wood procurement for a larger area in both Georgia and Alabama and supervising other foresters and company woodyards.  He managed many company operations that were critical to the success of their respective mills along with being responsible for timber flow from areas across Georgia and Alabama.  He was responsible for managing foresters, forest technicians and over 250,000 acres of company owned timberland.

In April 1997 Tommy began Complete Forestry Service, Inc. and over the last 19 years has helped his loyal clients with their forestry needs.

Tommy has experience with forest and wildlife management, managing both natural and planted stands of timber.  He is very qualified in managing both pine and hardwood species.

Tommy was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia and is a 1979 graduate of Auburn University.  He is a member of the Auburn University School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences Advisory Council.  He is a Certified Prescribed Burn Manager in Georgia and Alabama and a member of The Alabama Prescribed Fire Council.

He and his wife, Jeanie, have three children and three grandchildren.
